2016 Moonbeam Children’s Book Award - BRONZE

I’ve been a writer for over 30 years. I just never called myself that. Instead I used phrases such as Communications Consultant, National Marketing Manager or Business Development Manager to describe my work.

I am Australian writer living in California.

I am writing my debut novel.

I have a PB manuscript in submission.

I am a Master of Marketing (MMktg) from Monash University. Melbourne, Australia.

I am a member (Emerging Author) of the Australian Society of Authors and a member of the Small Press Network.

My first book “Grandad and the Baby Dolphin” (ISBN: 9-780-9945-89804; illustrated by Naomi Bulger) won a 2016 Moonbeam Children’s Book Award (third) for best first book.

I grew up a bare-foot child roaming around the streets of coastal Western Australia. I spent my days jumping off jetties, duck-diving for fish and riding foam surf-boards behind big boats. I consider myself a ‘big-sky’ person.

In February 2018, my family and I moved from Melbourne, Australia to San Jose, California. It’s a beautiful place to live, despite the freezing-ocean, and we are enjoying our time here so far.
